As first time homebuyers we were very
intimidated and felt lost in a sea of offers and
promises. Steven Boudreau went above and
beyond our expectations by first educating us
about the process and our options, and then
going out of his way to make us feel comfortable
throughout the entire experience. We felt that
Steven truly cared about finding us the mortgage
that would not only fit our requirements, but that
we could realistically live with. We recommend
him to all of our friends and would absolutely look
nowhere else when a future need arises!

Recently, a school teacher in the process of transferring form Maine to Rhode Island contacted us to handle her purchase in the area. The closing of her new home in RI was contingent upon the sale of her previous home in Maine.
It wasn’t until closing day here in Rhode Island when the parties involved uncovered the fact that the buyer of the existing home in Maine, (a transaction we were not involved in) could not come through with the financing he had committed, leaving our buyer in Rhode Island stranded. At Metropolitan Mortgage we scrambled our team of attorneys, lenders and realtors to set the transaction back on track. New financing was obtained for the buyer in Maine, funds from that sale were transferred to Rhode Island and our teacher in Rhode Island could finally relax in her new home.
When a long time client requested a refinance of their primary residence to purchase a second home we thought no problem. Once the process got underway, we quickly learned that the vacation home was in the Dominican Republic, there were several offers and the seller needed strong assurances.
Our clients made several flights to keep the seller at ease and we took additional steps to overnight qualification paperwork to the seller in the Dominican. We felt it was important that we supply the seller with enough information to keep him comfortable with our families ability while keeping their personal information secure and private. In the end the offer was accepted and the refinance took place in time to meet the sellers stringent timeline. Now we get postcards from our friends in the D.R.
